The Disney on Ice production is operated by Feld Entertainment, the same company that produces Ringling Bros. circus and Monster Jam events. Each touring production follows a specific theme and storyline, rotating different Disney stories and characters year to year. Recent themes have included "Magical Ice Festival," "Frozen," "Mickey's Magical Celebration," and performances featuring characters from "Aladdin," "Beauty and the Beast," and "The Lion King."

Performances are designed for family audiences, with show lengths typically ranging from 60 to 90 minutes. The ice skating combines technical skills with storytelling, featuring elaborate sets that change between scenes. Professional skaters perform solos, group numbers, and character-specific sequences that recreate iconic moments from the films. The production includes both comedic elements and dramatic scenes intended to entertain both children and adults.

Practical takeaway: Check the official Disney on Ice website or the CFG Bank Arena's event calendar several months before you plan to attend. Production titles, dates, and venues change annually, so confirming current information is essential before making travel or purchasing plans.

Ticket Information and Pricing Structure

Ticket prices for Disney on Ice Baltimore events vary depending on the specific performance date, time, and seating location within the arena. General pricing typically ranges from $25 to $75 per ticket for standard seating, with premium seats and special packages available at higher price points. Weekday matinee performances (typically offered on school holidays or weekends during the day) may have different pricing than evening shows. Weekend performances generally cost more than weekday shows, and tickets purchased closer to show dates often have higher prices than those bought in advance.

The CFG Bank Arena uses a tiered seating system where closer seats to the ice and center stage positions command premium prices, while upper-level or corner seating offers lower-cost options. Some performances offer special ticket packages that bundle ice show tickets with concession vouchers, merchandise, or photo opportunities. During promotional periods, venues and ticketing platforms sometimes offer discounted rates or package deals, particularly for group purchases of 10 or more tickets.

Ticket purchasing occurs through several channels. The official Disney on Ice website lists tour dates and directs buyers to authorized vendors. Ticketmaster is the primary seller for most Disney on Ice Baltimore performances, though some promotions may be available through the CFG Bank Arena's box office. Purchasing directly through the arena's box office may sometimes avoid additional online service fees that appear when buying through third-party ticketing websites.

Children's pricing sometimes differs from adult pricing, with some venues offering reduced rates for children under a certain age, though policies vary. Infants or very small children who can sit on a parent's lap without requiring their own seat may be allowed entry without a separate ticket, but this should be confirmed when purchasing. Some performances occasionally offer "Pay Your Age" or other promotional pricing for certain dates, which are announced in advance.

Practical takeaway: Purchase tickets 4-6 weeks before your desired performance date to secure better seat selection and potentially lower prices. Check both the Disney on Ice website and Ticketmaster, as promotional codes and special pricing may appear on different platforms during different time periods.

Some venues offer discounted parking rates for show attendees if the parking garage validates tickets. The arena's official website provides a parking map showing all nearby facilities. What to Expect During the Performance

Disney on Ice shows typically open with an elaborate production number featuring multiple skaters performing choreographed routines to recognizable Disney music. The opening sequence establishes the show's theme and introduces the major characters who will appear throughout the production. Performances are divided into distinct scenes or "acts," each focusing on a different Disney film or character storyline. The show structure generally follows a narrative arc, beginning with introductions, building through middle scenes with action and comedy, and concluding with a grand finale featuring all major characters.

Individual performances showcase different Disney stories and characters. A typical show might include extended sequences featuring characters like Elsa and Anna from "Frozen," Moana, Aladdin, Belle from "Beauty and the Beast," or characters from "The Lion King." Each sequence combines skating with theatrical elements like lighting effects, costume changes, and set pieces. Some scenes emphasize technical skating skills with fast-paced movements and formations, while others focus on storytelling and character development through slower, more expressive movements.

The performance includes both ensemble numbers featuring 20-30 skaters performing in coordinated formations and solo performances by principal skaters. Solo performances often showcase a single character's main song from their film, with elaborate costumes and dramatic lighting. The technical difficulty varies, with some sequences featuring impressive jumps, spins, and complicated footwork, while others prioritize theatrical presentation and audience engagement over technical complexity.

Audience participation elements are incorporated into most Disney on Ice shows. Characters may wave to the audience, make eye contact with spectators, and respond to audience reactions. Some shows include moments where audience members are invited to participate in activities like waving, clapping to music, or shouting character names. Children in the audience may become excited during character appearances, particularly when favorite characters first appear on the ice.

The lighting and sound design are integral components of the performance. Projection systems display backgrounds that change to match each scene's setting, such as a castle interior, a beach, a snow-covered landscape, or a palace ballroom. The sound system delivers music from the original Disney films, creating a familiar audio experience for audiences. The combination of music, lighting, and skater movements creates emotional moments intended to engage the audience.
