The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra (BSO) performs at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall and offers a diverse season of classical, pops, and family concerts. Single ticket prices typically range from $25 to $100 depending on the performance and seating location. Many venues offer discounted tickets for students, seniors, and military personnel—usually 10 to 20 percent off regular prices. Some theaters provide pay-what-you-wish performances on select nights, making theater more financially accessible.

Concert venues vary widely in size and genre. The Fillmore Silver Spring hosts rock and indie bands, while the Congress Hall and 8x10 offer hip-hop, electronic, and alternative music. The Meyerhoff also features jazz performances and world music artists. Most venues post their full schedules online three to six months in advance, allowing you to plan ahead.

Practical takeaway: Visit the websites of Baltimore's major theaters directly rather than relying on third-party ticket sellers, as venues often offer special discounts, season passes, and subscription options not available elsewhere. Sign up for email newsletters from your favorite venues to receive information about discounts and new productions before tickets go on sale to the general public.
